Experience ancient China in the temples & pagodas

Originally completed in AD 652, the landmark of the Big Goose Pagoda is a rare example from the Tang dynasty. Climb the tower for great views! Explore the surrounding Da Cien temple and complex with its gardens and musical water fountains (a modern China addition!). Alternatively try the quieter Small Goose Pagoda and ring the bell for good luck.  

Only a couple of hours from Xian, you can visit Hua Shan. It is not hard to see why this mountain is considered so sacred with its dramatic peaks and slopes, peppered with pavillions, teahouses and temples. Also renowned for being one of the most dangerous hikes in the world but don't worry there is a much safer cable car option!
